Up for sale is an incredibly rare, museum-scale Mid-Century Modern floor vase produced by legendary Swedish glassworks Åseda Glasbruk (Småland, Sweden). This monumental piece stands an impressive 3 feet 3 inches (39 inches) tall and retains its original "ÅSEDA" factory label.
Designed by iconic chief designer
“Bo Borgström” (circa 1960s/1970s), this vase features a dramatic, ultra-elongated trumpet neck paired with a heavy, weighted bulbous base. The color is a gorgeous, deep teal/peacock blue that catches the light beautifully. While standard Åseda vases are typically under 12 inches, exhibition-sized floor pieces of this magnitude are exceptionally scarce and highly sought after by Scandinavian art glass collectors.
